The brief i have choose is brief 3 (magazines and online) . In this it states I need to create two current affairs magazine front cover , two context pages and one website homepage and link page. The minimum requirements for this is four original images , editing of the front cover and context pages, written text, barcode, date, mise en scene, representations and a place showing there is a website. For the website it is original audio, a minimum of two images and appropriate media language. The target audience is from 16-25 years old who are socially conscious.
In this task I will be looking at different types of images, fonts and colours to use in my magazine front cover, context pages and website. I shall look at different connotations and how these will affect the way my target audience might view my product. This means by creating a mood board I will also be exploring creative ways of how to present my work.
These mood boards have helped me in deciding what content i'm going to use on my magazine front cover, contents pages and on the website. The overall colour scheme for my magazine is grey pallet including greys, whites, blacks and red and blue. The images I will use will be my own photography of a close up image with a corona virus mask. On my second front cover I will use a close up image of a man that looks quite sad with a tear rolling down their face. I will be using serif font which is bold for the masthead and serif for the cover lines. The lighting will be high key and bright and the background will be a plain colour (grey). The intertextuality will be links to pages for information and help on the topics of the front pages.
